He says: “Hey, is that a new Trollbeads Bracelet you’re wearing?”
She says: “Um… which one?”
He says: “The gold one”.
She says: “This One?! Ugh. You say that every single time I wear this.”
He says: “Oh… I’m so sorry… I guess it’s just that it looks really nice…”
This gorgeous photo shoot in this month’s Vogue Magazine really needs no words… so soft, pretty and delicate, we found it exquisite and so inspiring. We’ve paired it with the new golden bangle and the simplest of compositions – two “Blizzard” and a golden “Stay Positive”. Isn’t it stunning? I could wear this every day.
Celadon, white and gold…. a delicious new favorite colour combination!
With so many of our collectors snapping up the gorgeous new Aurora, we are seeing an explosion of new bangle designs!
The genius of Trollbeads lies in its simplicity, and I love that the bangle takes the purest possible form, a perfectly round torque with an opening at the back where the beads may be threaded. The beads are then held in place with the silver or gold, rubber lined stoppers that were already a useful tool in the collection. The bangle may be worn “nude”, and it’s pure design is stunning. The stoppers may be used for so many other purposes on bracelets and necklaces, so they are well worth the small investment.
The bangle design shown above belongs to one of our local collectors, the lovely and beloved, KT. Over the course of the recent trunk show we enjoyed visiting with her, and her (almost) equally lovely collection. This juicy set of beads creates a gorgeous display on a bangle. Its brilliant tone might be too intense for many collectors as an entire bracelet composition of 15-20 beads… but as a bangle it is a simple treat that may be changed on a whim for a new design.
We noted with delight that the dramatic inclusions in the center amber beautifully reflect the emerald glass on each side… it truly appears to have flecks of rich green floating in the golden amber.
Stay tuned over the next few days for more highlights of KT’s fascinating collection…
With a little group of the lovely new Aurora Bangles in stock Thursday evening we were inspired to play a little, and came up with the idea of a focal point necklace. Bold, dense and dramatic necklaces are so terribly chic right now, and We always think of
Trollbeads as being a tool kit to design and create whatever type of jewellery one wishes. This was a good test to see how far we could take that!
It’s quite simple, really… we took three Aurora Bangles, sixteen stoppers, a pair of small size necklace chains, a basic clasp, and two “Frames” silver beads.
I know it sounds like a lot of stoppers, but it could be built with quite a few less. We had enough to do it this way, so we did. The really key part of the structure is the “Frames” bead, which links the three bangles. I love the contrast of the square frames with round
forms of the bangles and stoppers. Some of you many remember the Torque necklace that we designed some time ago, when the Bangle was first introduced. This necklace is really the natural extension of that design. The Aurora beads could be left off the center of each bangle for a cleaner, more purely modern and minimalist look, or conversely one could add a number of different, carefully selected beads. The beads on the bangles would be secure without stoppers, and that would create another look as well.
In the end, games such as these are a great way of keeping one’s mind open to the possibilities of one’s collection. It’s a little like Lego for the jewellery box: play, have fun, see what your beads and chains can build… Create something beautiful!
“The colourful light of the North has always fascinated people, and there are many myths related to this beautiful, natural phenomenon. The ancient people of the North believed that the Aurora was the fire of torches lighting the way to heaven.”
The eagerly anticipated, Limited Edition “Aurora Bangle” is released today, and we have these gorgeous treats in stock at Tartooful. The set includes the sterling silver bangle, two sterling stoppers and an “Aurora” glass bead with silver core for CAD$199.95.
This represents great value, as the normal pricing for a bangle and two stoppers would be CAD$182.00 – meaning that one is paying only $17.95 for this exceptionally dramatic and lovely bead. Keep the bead for yourself, and gift the bangle to someone else… or perhaps keep the bangle, and bestow the bead on another lucky Trollie, this is a wonderful chance to make a bangle purchase go that little bit further.
However, this is a Limited Edition, and we’ve been assured by Trollbeads that this bead will not be released either as an individual bead, or as part of any other promotional package… so don’t wait too long to act on this as stock is extremely limited. It’s just too pretty to miss!
Something as beautiful as these Trollbeads Gold beads can stand alone… as is elegantly shown by these simple sterling bangles.
We chose some of our favorite gold beads to highlight on Trollbeads’ new sterling bangles, each one centred and framed with Troll’s simple sterling stoppers. It goes to show that even just one little gold, all alone can make a huge design statement.
Blending different metal tones is white hot, which is good to know if you’re the sort of person who keeps track of that kind of thing. I’m happy to say that the vast majority of our lovely Trollbeads collectors are not the least bit concerned with what other people think of their personal jewellery choices. They’ve been merrily mixing metals for years, and looking fabulous doing so.
So simple, so gorgeous. Love it.
Ahhhh… doesn’t this simple and soft combination just sing? These gorgeous “Dendritic Agates”, with a perfectly lovely “Azure Bubbles” on one of Trollbeads’ new silver bangles makes a totally wearable, deeply satisfying composition.
These are the colours and natural textures that always speak to us here on the West Coast….
It’s as simple as that.
