Thank You!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out on a wet and blustery Tuesday to help make our day with Tomas Cenius a warm, wonderful and memorable Event!

cenius-event3How inspiring to have Tomas create original artworks for so many of us, right before our eyes.  The moment one walked in the door, it was clear that something special was happening.  One could hear beautiful, Danish music… see our glass work table laid with a vast array of papers and art supplies… and join the happy, chattering crowd, carrying glasses of champagne and little clutches of glass and silver treasures.  Finally, making one’s way to the front of the group one could see Tomas at work, dancing, smiling and humming as he created yet another original piece of art for one of our lovely Trollies.

cenius-event10It was so interesting to hear more about Tomas’ experiences as an artist, and some of the influences that helped to create the familiar and beloved silver beads that he has designed for Trollbeads over the past two decades.  A great many of his beads went home with ladies who had new depths of appreciation for the art and the congenial, talented artist behind their tiny and intricate designs.

cenius-event11I myself was delighted to add a “Scarab” and World Tour “Van Gogh” to my collection.  They are both beads I always meant to pick up, but somehow there was always a glass or a stone that was more urgent at the time.  Finally at the event, with a procession of amazing Scarab images being created before my eyes, I knew there was no better time to add these iconic Cenius designs to my personal collection!

cenius-event6So… thank you again to Tomas Cenius, for making the long journey to Canada, just to see us.  (Next time perhaps you will see sunshine and mountains and snow… sorry about the deluge this time ’round…) Thank you to Trollbeads for organizing such an amazing opportunity for us… and of course, a huge thank you to all of you who came out and supported us, you are all so very dear to us.
