Trollbeads News: Trollbeads Day 2014 at Tartooful

Well.  Where have we been and what have we been doing, you may be asking yourself….

We have been busy as happy little troll bees, playing with Trollies and their beads over the course of the fabulous, two week sales event that just wound up… and then we threw ourselves directly into preparing for the next BIG thing!

Trollbeads Day 2014 is coming… August 1st, 2014 is the inaugural celebration, and we cannot wait to share the transformed gallery with you, along with all thr treats that we have planned for the day.  Please join us for the official kick off to the event at 3pm on July 31st when we host a pre-reception as the clock ticks past midnight in Copenhagen!  We will be serving pink champagne, sweet treats, a fresh selection of Trollbeads and offering prizes throughout the 31st and 1st!

Dress for drama, wear all your Troll, and bring any beads that you’d like to re-home as we would love to see you get to know your fellow Trollies a bit better by trading some beads!

… oh – and of course there will be a certain “Mystery Bead” to discover as well.

Can’t wait to see all of you there,

  1. I can’t wait – the store looks beautiful and while I can’t imagine more surprises but I’ll be ready!

  2. I have been collecting Trollbeads for decades and unfortunately one has really let me down. My dear husband bought me the Trollbeads 11510 Scroll for our anniversary last year, with a message engraved on it. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed as it didn’t seem to be the usual quality but you know what it’s like when someone buys you something, it seems churlish to complain. I made sure I only wore it on my necklace not on my bracelet so that it would get minimum wear because the engraving was so shallow and finally after giving it a good chance (unfortunately just over one year) I sent it back to Trollbeads UK to see if they would swop it out for a.n.other bead as I felt it fell very short of their usual standard. However, they did not feel that there was anything wrong with it. They did however send it back to Denmark, where they looked at it and also felt it was outside the warranty time and that the surface wear that made it look so horrid was just a patina. I know what patina is, I have it on other beads but not at all like this breakdown of the surface. So…I’m just posting this as a warning to any of you keen Trollbeaders out there…they are all great but do give the scroll a miss…it just isn’t worth the money.

    1. Jello Jane, I am sorry it has taken me this long to reply to you but I am away from the gallery at the moment and am only at a laptop occasionally over these few days. It sounds like you have indeed had a frustrating experience with this one bead. Trollbeads appears to have taken your concern seriously, even sending it back to Denmark to be examined… and I’m sorry that you didn’t have a more satisfying conclusion. Would you mind sending me a photo of the bead in question? Perhaps there is something I can suggest to ameliorate your situation. I don’t know right now what the solution might be, but if I take a look at it I might be able to help. My email address is and I am happy to help if I possibly can. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Cathy

    1. Hello There! It’s a very informal process, where ladies bring beads that they are willing to part with, and simply chat with other ladies who are there to see what they have brought with them. At other events there have been lots of beads trade hands – including with myself! It’s fun and a fantastic way to beat the budget blues while getting to know fellow collectors. xo

  3. Cathy, the shop looked lovely today and so did you. Your necklace set of your lovely dress. Heather and I had a lovely time and love our new beads. Thanks for a lovely time.
